Gunslinger

Actually, my Hunter in Borderlands (now level 40, recently started Playthrough 2) has more points toward a Rogue spec, but I figured the title was more fitting considering I'm using pretty much nothing but revolvers (and a Bulldog shotgun from Playthrough 1 which I still enjoy using, despite my revolvers being much better).  An Equalizer with high ammo regeneration, plus two other revolvers, one being corrosive and the other explosive.  The latter of the two is quite helpful in taking out those insane waves of skags I have to deal with in the beginning.

I've played this game several times before, how in the hell am I getting more sucked into it than ever before?  And to think I still haven't even started the DLC yet.  Just hope my addiction doesn't get too bad.

Next time I'm in game, I'll be sure to get some screenies of my character's stats and gear, just for the hell of it.

Don't think I'll do all the quests like I did in Playthrough 1, especially since I'm not getting that good amount of EXP for it.  Would rather just kill mobs like there's no tomorrow since it seems to be a much better source of experience.  Once I complete Playthrough 2 I'm gonna start going through all the DLC.

If anyone wants to join me for co-op, I'm still looking for the multiplayer experience sometime!  Of course I still gotta make a GameSpy account, but will do so when the opportunity for multiplayer gameplay arrives.

Get You One!

Hey, name's Scooter! I's named after my sister. Hey, come get you some wheels!

Yep, that's right, been re-playing Borderlands again for the...4th time?  Actually trying a Hunter this time.  Would always play the Soldier every time I played this, but figured I'd go a different route this time.  Still using shotguns though, but have most of my proficiency levels in pistols so far.  Oh and I have the Game of the Year edition, so I'll finally be able to play all the DLC later on (haven't gotten to play all of them the previous times I played this game).

Only level 14 so far, but if anyone else wants to join along sometime, I'm up for it.  Would prefer to play with people about my level though, not fun to have a level 60 bring me through the whole game.  I like a challenge.

Definitely hyped for Borderlands 2, but...gonna be some time before that's out.  Figured this would tide me over in the meantime.

Weekend of relaxation, may be going to the arcade with a friend tomorrow which should be fun, but Sunday I gotta study for my first text in my Mobile Computing class...gonna need lots of luck for it.  Not exactly my most favorite subject that I'm taking this semester.  It's a shame it's not take-home like a lot of my other exams are.

And now I leave you with a really cool pony crossover:

See you all next time

Knite, Level 1 Human Fighter

Taking a shot at Pathfinder, and actually enjoying it so far, getting the rules and such pretty well.  Of course I'm just going by the solo adventure that came with the box set, but might try other things with the game afterward.

Staying at the apartment for the weekend, which means I'll have peace and quiet Friday-Sunday.  Perfect time to be lazy, play games and stuff, the usual.  Had considered walking over to the nearby movie theater, but there's not really anything out I'm interested in seeing, plus it's a 45 minute walk in somewhat hot weather.  No thanks.

I may actually spend time this weekend working on a video, if inspiration comes to me.  It's time I got something new up anyway, and with no roommate to bother me all the time, I may as well.  Still want to do something MLP related but it takes forever to acquire an episode off of YouTube for use, will have to use "other methods".  Even then it'd take a while to think of something good.

Oh, and, I may be auditioning for Wheel of Fortune on the 26th.  I shit you not, I love the show, I'm really good at it.  Was watching it tonight and saw that the bus is coming to where I live on that day, definitely gonna go for it.  Even if I do well for the auditions it's probably still a low chance, but it's worth a shot.

Funny, I love games like that, yet I suck at Scrabble.  Seriously, think I only won like 20% of the games I ever played on Words With Friends.

Birthday is coming up faster than I realize, close to a month to go, still don't know what I want for it.  I know I want a new laptop but not really sure of what else.  A good Applejack plush would also make me happy, but they can get pricy.  Hell, I'd even be happy with one of those small Applejack blind bag toys.  One of the bronies at school had one, he showed it to me and was able to hang it off the top of my laptop, as if she was just chilling up there and watching, it was awesome.

Been looping this for some time, love it

I shall update soon on video progress and whatnot.  See you all then.

Not dead!

Wow, a week since the last post?  Geez, I've spent way too much time in Minecraft...

Yeah, I've been back to playing Minecraft again, online this time, found a random survival server that just started up, been helping out with building a few things, and having fun doing so, really enjoying the multiplayer experience.  Partially the reason why for my disappearance.

Mostly though the reason is because of my grandmother, been really depressed lately because of her, still can't stand seeing her in the hospital.  She did get moved to a different floor through for physical therapy, so she is showing some improvement, but it's still tough...

Tomorrow I get my Pathfinder stuff, hoping to start getting into the material and playing the game a little (yes on my own, better than nothing).  Pretty much the one thing I have to look forward to tomorrow for Valentine's Day.

Well, one other thing too.  Only sent something to one person for Valentine's Day, and I'm sure you can guess who it was.  If not, you obviously haven't been reading all of my posts.  Hoping her getting that will brighten her day once she gets it.

To close this off, I think I'll show off what I made for the server (yes it was all handmade without flying, yes I had to get all the materials myself, yes I have lost all sanity):

And yeah, my skin is of Derpy Hooves with her paper bag costume.  Best skin I've ever used.  For those that are wondering how my character is a pony instead of a human (and somehow never heard of the mod), I'm using the Mine Little Pony mod.  Look it up on the Minecraft forums.

See you all next time.

RPG time

I haven't posted the past day or two?  Oops, sorry.

Having trouble sleeping tonight, mostly because I've been thinking about my grandmother, who didn't look so good tonight when I went to visit her.  But, this will give me the opportunity to make a quick post and catch up on here.

I've been getting into Pathfinder lately.  For those that don't know what it is or never heard of it, it's basically a carbon copy of D&D 3.5 edition.  It has some slight changes to combat and some other aspects, but it's quite similar.  I actually find Pathfinder to be better than D&D.  I've never played D&D but have tried learning it and have gotten kind of confused in the process.  Pathfinder has been pretty smooth to learn just by going through the book (which I downloaded a PDF for but anticipate to get the actual hardcover book).  I also am planning to get the beginner's box which I've already ordered on eBay, and it should be here by next week.  By then I hope to learn it and maybe even get my younger brother into it.  If he likes Heroica, why not?

Someday I'll get the bronies at school to try it too.  After all, we could do a My Little Pony-themed campaign.  I remember seeing once online somewhere that someone made custom races for Earth ponies/unicorns/pegasi.  I'd definitely be up for that.

In the next couple of days, I'm stopping by the campus grill to get this really awesome sandwich, something you guys should try out sometime (of course I don't expect you guys to actually come here and try it, just something to make on your own).  It's a hoagie roll with chicken tenders on the bottom, with marinara sauce on it, then a layer of mozzarella sticks, more marinara, fries (with crispy flour coating), and finally topped with a layer of melted mozzarella.  It truly is amazing.  Hell, now that I think of it, I should get this tomorrow after my classes.  Yeah, I'm gonna do that.

Pictures shall be posted next time.

Need New Laptop

So apparently I can't Livestream anything without my laptop slowing down.  Even with simple NES games.  And I don't think anyone wants to watch me play Minesweeper on a Livestream.

My birthday is coming up though within a couple of months (April 2nd, to be exact), so I may be asking for a new laptop then.  It may not be Alienware, but I should be getting something better than my current one (an HP dv6875se), considering I actually get one anyway.  Only thing I really want for it anyway.

Still have interest in playing multiplayer for some of these NES games, or even Minecraft or Terraria or whatever.  Someday I'll get into doing that.  For tonight though, will probably spend some time playing whatever else I've got lying around on my desktop.  Will probably check through my NES games again to see if there's anything good I haven't really played much of.

Also, where are all of the funny Super Bowl commercials at?  I mean, Pepsi had a decent one, at least the ending of it was funny, but...no others yet.  Only reason why I have this on after all.

Hate to end this post with just general stuff, so here's some musical ponies for you.  Had this in my head earlier today.

Going Nuts

This is probably the one thing keeping me sane right now, Derpy is awesome (but Applejack is still best pony to me).  Makes me want to get a lava lamp for no real good reason.

Today has been a very depressing day.  Of course, the reason is obvious, I went to see my grandmother today, and she didn't look too good.  She kept slurring her speech still, could really only open like half her mouth when talking.  She couldn't move her right arm with the exception of turning her wrist a little.  She had a bit of trouble moving her right leg around, which my brother and I only saw her do when we walked into her room when she was asleep, after which she couldn't really move around at all.  I was in tears.

Turns out it actually was a stroke.  Really do hope though that with enough therapy that things will be back to normal.  However, there's no telling.  If after a year or so there's something that doesn't go back to normal, nothing can be done about it, as the doctor had told us anyway.

Because of this, I most likely will not be making my trip to New Hampshire in two weeks, which is a huge bummer for me but it's for good reason.  I'd hate to have my vacation and find out something worse happened.

Today was my little brother's birthday party, and we all went bowling.  It did help take the whole thing off of my mind for a little while, and actually ended up doing decently, highest I bowled was a 174.  Still, this and other things have been on my mind and just overall made this quite a depressing weekend.

I've homework to complete tomorrow, and would like to spend some time gaming afterward as well.  Would like to set up a Livestream channel to do some PS2 streaming.  May post a bulletin on my YouTube channel for it if I follow through with it.  Won't be anything interesting, more so since I don't have any co-hosts or anything, but hey, should be fun anyway, right?  If anything I'll do NES games or whatever else.

Oh and tomorrow's the Super Bowl.  I couldn't give a shit.  Sorry, not a football person.  Or a sports person in general...ok, I actually do like baseball, but I don't really keep up with it.  But, if I don't end up doing the Livestream, or don't Livestream the PS2, I'll watch it just for the commercials.

This song has been stuck in my head for some time (mainly Rainbow Dash's bit).  You know who you are for getting it stuck in there in the first place.
So my laptop is now yelling at me that I have low battery, too lazy to get the charger.  Gotta get up relatively early tomorrow anyway to watch my little brother so I should be calling it a night anyway.

Til next time everybody/pony.

Many Thanks

To those of you that sent me an email and/or private message on YouTube, I'd like to give you my thanks.  I'll be seeing my grandmother tomorrow morning with my older brother, hoping she'll be looking/doing better.  As for my friend's father, all is well as far as I know.

Trying to keep my mind clear tonight, been a bit of a rough day even after the brony meetup.  The meetup was pretty chill, we ended up watching videos, two of them played Yu-Gi-Oh (I prefer Magic, but it was interesting to watch), had some food, was good.  One of them ended up getting sick though, probably something that was in the food...but the whole group pretty much worked together in cleaning up the mess (yeah, the food she ate ended up coming back out...), and helped her get some water and assisted in helping her feel better.  It's the magic of friendship!

As for tonight, just been chilling, playing some more NES stuff.  Took a shot at Wall Street Kid, can't make money to save my life.  Or buy a house, apparently.  This is why I prefer making money off of Blackjack than the stock market.  Yes, if I can't get a job, I'll make a living off of Blackjack.  If I made $200 profit on my 21st birthday off of the $100 gift I got (after playing for like 3 hours), I can make a living off of it.  I still wish to get a real job, but still, something I'll be keeping in mind.  Long story short, no stock market, thank you.

Getting into tarot again.  Yeah, every once in a while I like to pull out my tarot deck and do a quick one-card reading just to see what the near future is like.  Bet you never knew that!  So, what's tonight's reading about my near future?  Queen of Cups.  Basically, it means showing compassion and focusing on the emotional well-being of others.  Geez, don't I already do this enough?  But yeah, I have a good feeling this applies to tomorrow as well.  Must take good care of my grandmother!

Little bit of time left before I should get to sleep, I'll probably play a round of Concentration on the NES.  Anyone remember that old game show?  I used to love that as a kid, even if I could never get it that well.  When it came to the game though, I'd just watch the older bro.  It's a fun game though, will play that for a while before I retire for the night.

Oh right, a little something I watched while at today's meetup.  If you're a brony, watch it if you haven't already, it's quite entertaining.

Until next time everybody/pony.

Best Wishes Needed

This morning, which I had planned to be a wonderful day out with a close friend and a fun meetup with the bronies at school, has just crumbled.  This morning I got a call from my older brother, telling me my grandmother was taken away by the paramedics really early this morning.  I don't know what happened to her, it's almost like some sort of stroke even though it isn't one, but she slurs her speech, and can't seem to walk well nor use her right hand/arm.  Awaiting an MRI scan, hopefully this will be taken care of soon.  She just turned 80 and still looks young...

But it's not just this.  I also got a message from that one good friend I was hoping to see today (her name's Kim, by the way), and turns out her father is in the hospital.  I called her this morning and she says all is well, but...kind of hard for a guy like me to feel better hearing that.  I worry like there's no tomorrow, especially for her, so...made sure to call her this morning to be sure she was okay, and then made a call to my older brother to find out if there was any more info about my grandmother, see if they found out anything, but, still awaiting for that MRI...

Any and all readers out there, if you see this post today, or the next day, or whenever you may see it, even if its so far away that everyone was already better, I don't care when, just...please, pray for the best.  Not just for my grandmother, but for Kim's father, or even her family in general.  Even if what her father went through isn't as serious, I still want them to have the best wishes from me and whoever else that reads this.

Will be putting up a bulletin on my YouTube channel as well, hoping for any non-readers out there to send their wishes as well.

Thank you everybody/pony.

Minecraft Adventures

Nothing like digging a huge mine, finding valuables, fighting baddies, and doing it all over again until you're blue in the face.  Strange how even after you see all that the game has to offer, you keep on playing it.  Yep, I'm talking about Minecraft.

Trying something a little different though.  After downloading a mod that gives you a bunch of types of worlds you can generate, I had some inspiration.  I want to give a shot at making an adventure map.  With a good knowledge of logic/circuitry and having much enjoyment from playing around with the Redpower mod, I figured I'd use it to make some really cool puzzles and/or mazes to use in certain parts of this map.

Only working on buildings for the beginning town so far, but making use of Redpower's various sized covers/strips/etc. to make (somewhat) detailed buildings, instead of them being all so blocky.

It's a shame I don't have any modding experience, otherwise I'd try to make mobs to use for bosses or whatever, but no biggie.  It'll just be less combat-oriented and more puzzle solving.

Depending on how progress goes, I'll try to have a screenshot or two (or more) up soon.  Still trying to figure a storyline and whatnot too, but for now I just want to play around with the building blocks I have from Redpower.  That's what is most fun after all!

Come to think of it...I could use Redpower's various colored wires as different colored keys, where you would need a specific colored key to open a certain door, while making one color (maybe light gray) used as a general color for most doors.  Kinda like small keys and boss keys in Legend of Zelda.

If I don't post again tonight, I shall tomorrow after I'm back.  See you all then!
