Minecraft Adventures

Nothing like digging a huge mine, finding valuables, fighting baddies, and doing it all over again until you're blue in the face.  Strange how even after you see all that the game has to offer, you keep on playing it.  Yep, I'm talking about Minecraft.

Trying something a little different though.  After downloading a mod that gives you a bunch of types of worlds you can generate, I had some inspiration.  I want to give a shot at making an adventure map.  With a good knowledge of logic/circuitry and having much enjoyment from playing around with the Redpower mod, I figured I'd use it to make some really cool puzzles and/or mazes to use in certain parts of this map.

Only working on buildings for the beginning town so far, but making use of Redpower's various sized covers/strips/etc. to make (somewhat) detailed buildings, instead of them being all so blocky.

It's a shame I don't have any modding experience, otherwise I'd try to make mobs to use for bosses or whatever, but no biggie.  It'll just be less combat-oriented and more puzzle solving.

Depending on how progress goes, I'll try to have a screenshot or two (or more) up soon.  Still trying to figure a storyline and whatnot too, but for now I just want to play around with the building blocks I have from Redpower.  That's what is most fun after all!

Come to think of it...I could use Redpower's various colored wires as different colored keys, where you would need a specific colored key to open a certain door, while making one color (maybe light gray) used as a general color for most doors.  Kinda like small keys and boss keys in Legend of Zelda.

If I don't post again tonight, I shall tomorrow after I'm back.  See you all then!
