Freedom for a week! Time to relax, play games all day, pig out on snacks and soda, and just overall be lazy for a week, right?
...damn wrong. Instead of my comfy bed at the apartment, I'm at my home outside of campus with the family, sleeping on a mattress in the laundry room because my obnoxious aunt had to stay over and take my room. Which is apparently the "guest room"...since when. Oh, and when I mean obnoxious, I mean she can't shut the fuck up for a second. Loud as hell, and had a massive headache because of it tonight.
Play games all day? Nah. A little, yeah, but I won't be able to use my gaming desktop at night which is a real bitch, since that's pretty much the one good time I have, seeing as how I gotta catch up on work during the day.
Snacks and shit? Well okay, maybe there's that. I actually don't "pig out", but I'll still eat the same way as I always do.
Seriously, I don't even know why I'm staying here for my spring break. Well, the only reason I knowingly have is to spend time with my little brother, but aside from that, would've done much better just staying at my apartment on campus.
Anyway, several new games I've been into lately. Still playing Borderlands like mad, Level 59 now, progressing through General Knoxx DLC. But, also been playing Tales of the Abyss on my 3DS. Played it already on the PS2, but since it recently came out I figured "why not", and got it. No different than the PS2 version really, aside from a different text font and the usage of two screens instead of one. Oh, and it loads much faster. That was my main beef with the original game which took forever to save (unless if it was just because I was using a 64MB card instead of the official 8MB...).
Also started playing Quest 64. Still not as good as Paper Mario or Hybrid Heaven, but I never actually beat it, so giving it another shot. Concentrating on Rock/Wind/Water magic, water mostly for healing. Majority of the good stuff comes from rock and wind.
Oh, and Chips Challenge. Holy shit, does anyone remember that game? I recently got a hold of it and played it a little on a virtual machine, brings back so many memories of me playing it on my old Windows 95. Used to love that old computer, logged so many hours of Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Warcraft (yes, the original) on it. Some of those older games I really miss, so glad virtual machines exist.
Day one of my (sucky) spring break starts tomorrow. At least there's a new My Little Pony episode on, most likely will have to go on Livestream to watch it. Or YouTube it that night. Maybe both if it's good? Then again it's My Little Pony, it's always good.
Thinking of which, a little something for the CoD fans out there:
I love Applejack. I love Call of Duty. This video is probably one of the few things that made today better.
